Warranty Policy

This Warranty Policy applies to certified refurbished products sold by eGlitz. It should be read together with our Refund & Return Policy. The warranty period applicable to each product is shown on its product page and invoice.

1. Warranty Coverage

Each product is covered by a limited hardware warranty for the period stated on its product page / invoice, starting from the date of delivery. The warranty is provided by eGlitz unless a manufacturer warranty is explicitly stated.

2. What the Warranty Covers

  • Genuine hardware faults arising from normal use.
  • Failures of internal components such as the motherboard, RAM, and storage (subject to inspection).
  • Repair using functional parts, or replacement of the component where repair is not practical.

During the warranty period, eGlitz will, at its discretion, repair the product, replace the faulty part, or replace the device with an equivalent or better model.

3. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

  • Physical, liquid, fire, electrical-surge, or accidental damage.
  • Customer negligence, misuse, or unauthorised repairs / modifications.
  • Broken screen, broken hinges, or keyboard damage caused after delivery.
  • Malware/virus infection, software corruption, or OS reinstallation.
  • Password / BIOS-password removal and data recovery.
  • Third-party software issues and customer-installed hardware causing failures.
  • Normal battery wear (unless specifically covered) and consumable accessories.

4. Dead on Arrival (DOA)

If a product does not power on or has a major hardware defect on delivery, report it within 48 hours of delivery with supporting photos/video. Verified DOA units are prioritised for repair, replacement, or refund per our Refund & Return Policy.

5. Battery

Batteries in refurbished laptops are consumable items. Battery backup depends on usage, brightness, running applications, OS, and battery age. Battery runtime estimates are approximate and not guaranteed unless specifically stated as covered.

6. How to Raise a Warranty Claim

Contact us with your invoice number and a description of the issue. We may request photos, videos, or diagnostic information and may perform remote troubleshooting before approving service.

  • Back up your data before sending a device — see clause 7.
  • Ship the product securely with accessories as advised by our team.
  • The unit undergoes serial-number, tamper, and functional verification on receipt.

7. Data Responsibility

Customers are solely responsible for backing up their data. eGlitz is not responsible for loss of data during diagnostics, repair, replacement, or servicing.

8. Limitation of Liability

Except where prohibited by law, eGlitz's liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price of the product. eGlitz is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, business-interruption, loss-of-profit, or loss-of-data claims.
